Bio

Jess Lynch is a visual artist and experimental filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Much of their film work evolves out of direct experimentation with found materials and is non-narrative, visceral, painted, cut-up, deconstructed, and often silent. She is interested in the moving image as a dreamlike medium most directly capable of touching the unconscious mind and affecting states of consciousness. Many finished works become raw material for live video mixing in collaboration with musicians and other artists.

Jess holds a BFA from the Studio for Interrelated Media at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and has exhibited their work at numerous film festivals, galleries, and DIY venues.
